AHEAD's Mid-Market Specialist Solutions Engineers are technical experts who collaborate with our account teams to identify, qualify, and develop solutions supporting our clients' digital business transformations. The Mid-Market Modern Datacenter Specialist Solutions Engineer (SSE) focuses on networking technologies, including switches, routers, firewalls, and other network management and security products. The SSE is a subject matter expert responsible for designing complex solutions and serving as a thought leader in their area of expertise. Duties and Responsibilities Participate actively in the Mid-Market SSE and service delivery teams. Lead in designing and architecting technical solutions for clients. Support sales by providing technical advice, solutions, and proposals aligned with customer needs. Build relationships with team members, leaders, and partners to support sales goals. Plan and execute technical sales calls. Complete pre-sales documentation accurately and promptly. Qualify sales opportunities based on customer requirements and decision processes. Present and justify solutions and their value to clients and management. Mentor entry-level team members. Maintain strong, detailed knowledge of products, technologies, and industry trends. Travel up to 20% as required. Education and Experience Experience with Network Infrastructure Cisco certifications such as CCIE or CCNP are required. Experience with Cisco Nexus series, ACI, and other data center technologies. Knowledge of IP routing, Layer 2 protocols, MPLS, DMVPN, multicast, firewalls, VPN, and network security. Certifications in Palo Alto Networks (e.g., PCNSE) are preferred, with experience in related technologies. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for complex data center environments. Ability to engage as a trusted advisor with clients. Effective collaboration across teams and with partners. Commitment to continuous learning and industry awareness.
